Thiel College invites applications for an exciting employment opportunity to serve as the Director for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Student Engagement, the Director is strategically positioned to have an immediate impact on the student experience at Thiel College. Responsible for leading efforts to foster and maintain an increasingly inclusive environment that welcomes, embraces, supports, and celebrates diversity in all its forms, the Director is a valued resource to all students, faculty, and staff at Thiel College. The Director’s role includes advocacy, student services, program development, supervision, and training/outreach. The Director will also collaborate with offices and individuals across campus to advance DEI programming. With the student experience as the primary focus, the Director’s work will include advising student organizations serving underrepresented populations, program development related to DEI, and providing support services and initiatives aimed at improving retention and graduation rates of all underrepresented student populations.

The Director will report to the Assistant Dean for Student Engagement with a dotted line to the Vice President for Student Life. The Director will also have regular access to the President and her leadership team.

Position Duration and Working Conditions

This is a twelve (12) month, full time position. Standard office hours are 8am – 5pm Monday through Friday with frequent evening and weekend hours during the academic year. Travel for conferences, training and outreach is also required.
