The University of Arizona, Campus Health Service is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Pharmacy Technician. This position is responsible for providing quality service to CHS customers, and will perform multiple pharmacy related functions under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive and process prescriptions, process
prescription refills, and check patient insurance eligibility. - Process insurance billing.
- Pour, count, and label medications.
- Draw-up
Covid-19 vaccines for administration in Covid-19 Vaccine Clinics. - Accept OTC requests and advise or route to
Pharmacist. - Check in orders - data entry, copy, date, and initial
invoices, then route appropriate paperwork to CHS administration. - Answer phones - provide availability, pricing,
and general information and/or route calls to the appropriate party. - Provide inventory control - stock shelves, rotate
stock, monitor usage/cost and expiration dates, and return or destroy out
of date drugs. Log all changes. - Receive departmental requisitions - fill, adjust
inventory, and deliver as needed. - Update forms and formularies, create signs, and
copy and distribute as needed. - Additional duties may be assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent
customer services skills. - Knowledge ofpharmacy computer program(s).
- Excellent
written and verbal communication skills. - Knowledge
of prescription interpretation. - Knowledge
of principles and techniques of the pharmacy profession.
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensed in the State of Arizona as a Certified Pharmacy
Technician. - At least 3 years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a retail pharmacy setting.
