The Department of Communication Studies at Westmont College invites applications for a one-semester visiting assistant professor for the Spring of 2023. Teaching duties will include three classes, and the ideal candidate will be well-prepared to teach Rhetorical Theory and some combination of courses such as Argumentation and Advocacy, Public Address, or a course within the candidate’s research area. A Ph.D. in Communication Studies is preferred, but strong candidates with a master’s degree / ABD and teaching experience will also be considered.

Westmont is a national liberal arts college in the evangelical Protestant tradition located in beautiful Santa Barbara, California.
