Position Highlights
The Department of Ophthalmology & Vision Science is looking for a Clinical Research Coordinator I to add to their Clinical Research Team. The ideal candidate will be motivated, organized, dependable, enthusiastic to learn at a fast pace, and excited to work as a member of a productive team. The selected candidate will be responsible for all aspects of clinical study conduct including regulatory and contract issues, recruitment, informed consent, study procedures, data collection and documentation, interactions with the sponsor and study close out. This individual will work with faculty members leading research activities, along with study participants of all ages and families. The location for this position is at the Banner-University Medicine Multi-Specialty Clinic at 707 N. Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer clinical tests and questionnaires as part of clinical research protocols (testing visual acuity, stereoacuity, tear collection, electroretinograms, imaging of retina).
- Online data entry for clinical study protocols and preparation of reports.
- Prepare documents for submission to Research Intake and IRB, including protocols and consent forms.
- Work with faculty, residents, external sponsors and internal departments.
- Review daily and weekly patient lists across providers, using Cerner to identify potential study participants. Maintain records of eligibility and participation.
- Work with patients and families to explain the clinical studies, also involved in the consent process.
- Give instructions regarding the study, answer questions, and arrange study follow-up.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1
year of relevant work experience required. - Bachelor's
degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
*Previous experience in working with patients or customers of all ages, in person and on the phone. *Previous experience in record keeping and organization. *Previous basic experience in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. *Previous basic experience in completing web-based forms. *Previous clinical research experience.
