Woods College of Advancing Studies at Boston College is seeking experienced instructors to teach part-time in various undergraduate courses. Courses are taught either fully in-person, fully online in an asynchronous format, or in a hybrid format with some combination of both in-person and online instruction. Responsibilities include preparation of course materials and assessments, evaluation of student learning, and making course modification to enhance the learning experience. All in-person class sessions take place in the evening during the week.

We are seeking instructors for undergraduate course in the following subject areas:

  • Advertising
  • Cybersecurity
  • Design Thinking
  • Economics
  • Environmental Science / Sustainability Science
  • Finance
  • Industrial/Organizational Psychology
  • Information Systems/Technology/Computer Science
  • Literature


Serious consideration is given to applicants with the following criteria:

  • Terminal degree in a related field (or Master's degree in related field with 4+ years of work experience)
  • Have current or recent work knowledge and experience related to subject area
  • Experience teaching undergraduate courses (online and/or in-person)
  • Experience working with non-traditional students
