Description:

Woods College of Advancing Studies at Boston College is seeking an experienced instructor to teach part-time in the Content Creation and Social Influence graduate course. This course will be taught in a fully online format, which will be primarily asynchronous. Responsibilities include preparation of course materials and examinations, evaluation of student learning, and making course modifications to enhance the learning experience.

The Content Creation and Social Influence course will cover:

  • A variety of theories and analytic frameworks related to the study of social influence marketing
  • Ethical knowledge pertaining to social influence
  • The conceptual model of consumer behavior
  • The use of social media channels to publish and disseminate relevant branded content
  • How to integrate well-written content and apply different content strategy to influence target audiences
  • How to create well-conceived and well-written stories that reach target audiences

Qualifications:

Serious consideration is given to applicants with the following criteria:

  • Holds a leadership position in business / industry (ideally 5+ years)
  • Experience teaching graduate level courses (online and/or on-ground)
  • Doctoral degree in a related field (Master's degree in related field may be acceptable with 10+ years of work experience)
  • Have current or recent work knowledge and experience related to subject area
  • Have an active industry network
  • Ability to communicate and interact with students in on-ground or online format
