Cazenovia College invites applicants for the Director for Health and Counseling; a key position within the College’s division of Student Affairs. This position reports to the Vice President of Student Affairs and provides administration, supervision, and delivery for health and counseling services to students. This is a full-time, 11- or 12-month position. Salary will be commensurate with experience and credentials and includes opportunity to participate in a competitive benefits package.

Director for Health and Counseling

This position provides vision and administrative/operational leadership for a campus health and counseling operation while serving as the primary source of campus consult and leadership in response to community health crises and needs. The individual also is a practicing part of the campus’ healthcare team, requiring a Master’s degree in nursing with Family or Adult NP certification and current NYS license as well as CPR certification along with 3-5 years of recent experience in a college health or similar clinical setting. Supervision of a center that includes three additional regular full-time staff members and contribution to the division of Student Affairs leadership team are core to the position’s work. This position is expected to provide regular review of practices for efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance and offer recommendations for continuous improvement in a small college and community environment. Supporting and facilitating a graduate and student staff in implementing and then sustaining a comprehensive student wellness program will be important to this position’s responsibilities.
