Job Description

Reporting to the Communications Manager in the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the Digital Content Projects Coordinator will plan, execute, maintain, and evaluate digital platforms and related content on behalf of the department that strategically align with the broader advancement (development, alumni relations, communications) and recruitment goals of the college and university. The individual will develop an annual work plan in consultation with the supervisor and is evaluated against the success of that plan.

The Digital Content Projects Coordinator must have a strong background in digital content creation and platform management as well as demonstrated experience in several digital communications skillsets. These skillsets may include writing for a variety of platforms and occasions, social media management, website development and maintenance, and videography and/or photography. The position will also require the individual to be able to navigate multiple and competing priorities in a dynamic environment. This position will also participate as a member of the overall College's Advancement team.

Under the guidance of the Communications Manager, specific work responsibilities may include, but are not limited to producing copy for digital newsletters, email campaigns, and stories that highlight department activities; executing and advancing department social media and website strategies/maintenance; managing and capturing visual assets (including photography and videography); and participating in student and faculty recruitment activities.

Working within the advancement model, this individual's efforts must be aligned to support the goals and priorities of the department, college, and broader university. The Digital Content Projects Coordinator must follow established brand guidelines, university policies and procedures, and accessibility standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field.
  • Strong familiarity with digital content creation and platform management, including content management systems and other web platforms as well as professional/organizational social media management.
  • Experience meeting deadlines and navigating multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational/interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a team setting.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, and travel periodically as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong written communication skills, including editing and copywriting.
  • Experience with visual communication mediums, such as photography, videography, and/or graphic design.
  • Experience in a higher education, independent school, or non-profit environment.
