About this role:
The Web Content Specialist is responsible for working with the Web Operations Team to make updates to the website as requested by stakeholders or other teams in the university. The individual in this role will contribute ideas as well as work quickly and efficiently to accomplish tasks regarding the website updates. The ideal candidate will be willing to learn multiple CMS platforms as the website continually grows and adapts.
What you'll do...
Updating/loading documents located in the DAM (Program guides, enrollment checklists, etc.)
Page Creation - working with other teams to be able to create pages or landing pages that are inline with team and organization goals
Update data/stats/numbers across site
Migration of CMS platforms and page transition
Typo/wording/minor error fixes or accuracy updates
Posting state news releases
Posting state, college, and general blogs
Creating/updating scholarship pages
Creating/updating partners pages
Updating job postings
Monitoring, identifying and fixing broken links (through SiteImprove)
Publishing all other pages for WGU
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
Website design, content creation, and non-profit fundraising skills
Interpret complex content for general audiences
Ability to lay out web pages with the user/client audience in mind
Ability to maintain many simultaneous projects, set and deliver upon realistic timelines, work as a team and with autonomy
Ability to train and teach others basic content management system skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented
What you'll need...
Department Specific Minimum Qualifications:
2+ years of experience with CMS required (preferably AEM)
3+ years of website content experience required
Requires broad theoretical job knowledge through advanced education.
No required professional experience.
Nice to have...
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Working knowledge of HTML or markdown a plus.
