Job Description:

Assistant Director of Annual Giving

The Assistant Director of Annual Giving is a key team member of The Sage Fund for Excellence and helps to ensure the success of the Russell Sage giving program. The Assistant Director is responsible for serving as the liaison for the GOLD classes as part of Sage's Class Agent Program, leading Sage's faculty and staff giving campaign, working with the graduating class on their senior class gift, and ensuring successful outcomes for all of these programs. The Assistant Director reports to the Senior Director of Annual Giving and is a member of the Institutional Advancement team.

This position currently qualifies for a "flexible work arrangement"

Requirements:

Expectations/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 1-3 years preferred Annual Fund and volunteer management experience (preferably in higher ed).
  • Ability to work occasional weeknights and weekends for IA special projects or events.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • The ability to work in a detail-oriented, time-sensitive manner.
  • Strong competency for and willingness to learn and use various computer programs and databases. Knowledge of Colleague database system helpful.
  • The ability to work effectively and in a team approach with both colleagues and volunteers.
  • The ability to maintain absolute confidentiality.
  • The ability to communicate in a professional, courteous and organized manner with staff and diverse external populations.
