Coordinator for Russell House Events
The coordinator for Russell House events executes and coordinates the facility reservation process. The coordinator manages event details, advises clients on appropriate facility uses, food and vendor policies, and provides availability and costs of event spaces. This oversight ensures safe and well-executed events occur in the Russell House University Union to support the recruitment and retention goals of the university.
Primary duties include:
- Serve as primary scheduler for events and activities in University Union facilities. This includes event planning functions with clients and campus partners. Ensure events are following facility policies and appropriate utilization of Russell House.
- Hire, train and supervise graduate students and student employees. Ensure that each staff member has a clear understanding of their responsibilities
- Serve as lead scheduler and provide operational oversight for Russell Underground venue.
- Plan and execute departmental events for students alongside campus stakeholders and partners related to contractual agreements or as part of the recruitment and retention initiatives of the unit.
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; or equivalency.
