Job Description:Elms College is a small, Catholic college that educates a diverse group of students in a supportive and vibrant learning community. The psychology program at Elms College is looking for Adjunct Instructors for fall 2022 and spring 2023 to teach in our traditional 15-week program and in our accelerated weekend programs with community college partnerships. The psychology program is seeking instructors to teach undergraduate courses in Personality Theory, Forensic Psychology, Biopsychology, and Research Methods.
Elms College uses Moodle LMS, Google Workplace, and Zoom for remote learning/advising. The format for the courses can be negotiated with preference for face-to-face or synchronous Zoom. Course sizes are small and typically less than 20 per class.
Instructors will be responsible for:
- Preparing course plans and materials
- Delivering courses
- Monitoring progress/attendance
- Recording midterm and final grades and submitting assessment reports as requested
Applicants who have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate degree in the area of expertise (or ABD) are preferred. Candidates with Master’s degrees will be considered with 3-5 years relevant experience. We strongly encourage those from underrepresented groups to apply.
