Job Description:

We are looking for a Student Research Assistant to work in the School of Human Development and Education. The incumbent will be someone who enjoys working with students, faculty, and internal and external partners. They will also be a great partner in helping us organize data collection and reporting as well as other responsibilities associated with the research project assignments.

The student worker will serve as a representative of the institution and provide general office relief to the needs associated with research projects. This position is located in Pasadena.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with filing, photocopying, scanning, department correspondence and other general office management services.
  • Provide general assistance to faculty and research related needs.
  • Prepare materials for events.
  • Assist with compiling departmental data.
  • Assist with event planning and coordination.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide general office assistance.
  • Experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Manage scanning and linking documents into integrated scanning database.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Assist with filing, document scanning, photocopying and other general office management services.
  • Provide administrative support to the School of Education such as event planning and meeting set-ups, both off site and on campus.
  • Prepare materials for meetings and assemble mass mailings.
  • Ability to enter data efficiently, timely and correctly in order to meet deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Must be in good standing with the college.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Must be able to work occasional evenings.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team.
