Position Title: Traffic and Production Coordinator

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt = overtime eligible
Work Schedule: Traditionally Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm with occasional evening and weekend work required
Salary: Targeted salary range: $38,800-$41,700
Travel: No travel
Brief Statement of Duties
Brief Statement of Duties: Provide a variety of television production support services for studio, remote and on-air production products. Assist with scheduling, supervising and training crew for studio productions. Create monthly/daily schedules for three, on-air program channels plus creating and editing interstitial material for broadcast. Assist with production of University sports events for broadcast and streaming.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education: Associate's Degree
Discipline / Degree Area: Communications, Broadcasting, Multi-media Systems or related field
Required Specialized Training/Certifications: None
Required Minimum Work Experience: One year equivalent work experience in broadcast studio and field production.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties:
Additional Desirable Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties:
- Ability to operate broadcast equipment: camera, audio board, graphic computer, video switcher, etc.
- Ability to understand, interpret and create program logs and schedules based on content from the TV
- Program Manager.
- Ability to quickly learn to operate new equipment and software, and to teach others.
- Experience with both Mac and PC systems. Editing experience with Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere.
- Ability to accurately concentrate on multiple tasks and details and function well under the pressure of
- daily deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and function as a member of a team.
- Ability to direct the work of others, to communicate work schedules, and to train and evaluate students,
- volunteers and interns.
- Ability to work occasional nights and weekends.
Additional Desirable Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Supervisory and staff scheduling experience.
- Experience serving as on-camera and voice talent.
- Experience producing and directing studio and field broadcasts including sports.
- Visual design skills, including broadcast design and motion graphics.
- Set design and construction skills.
- Studio/event lighting skills.
- Still photography skills.
- Experience using broadcast traffic software
