Things you'll be doing
Student-obsessed approach to design. The pursuit of education is important to you and you find value in helping others in their academic pursuits. With your proficiency in design tools and processes, you are able to translate business needs into the optimal experience for student and faculty.
Utilizing your valuable skills. Your portfolio showcases solid examples of previous design work that demonstrates sound UX thought process, solid workflow solutions, and creative approaches to presenting the best user experience. As you look to incorporate your knowledge of information architecture, visual design, and design systems, you will produce designs that will effectively motivate others to do their best work. You will take opportunities to apply research and analytics to better understand the problem that needs to be solved and to validate designs at different stages of production. Because of your strong work ethic and solid time management skills, you will be able to successfully execute on multiple projects simultaneously.
Collaborating with others. Your expertise and input are needed in the creation of end-to-end experiences and designs. While self-motivated to do your best work, you will approach designs collaboratively and build strong cross-functional relationships-both internally with others on the UX team, and externally with stakeholders, product managers, and engineers. You possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Solving complex problems. You have a proven history and ability to carry out difficult assignments from beginning to completion with little to no assistance required. Your problem-solving skills are excellent with an ability to turn product requirements, user research, usability feedback, and user interface best practices into first-rate user experience solutions. You are able to deliver this high-quality work while hitting product requirements and business deadlines.
Helping with research and testing. You have experience talking to learners and staff members in order to gain insight into their pain points and identifying their needs. You are capable of producing working prototypes and conducting usability tests-both synchronously and asynchronously-in user testing applications like Maze and usertesting.com. Finally, you can decipher the data as a result of the testing to know learner and staff needs and be able to provide detailed recommendations to stakeholders and product leaders.
5+ years experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, user interface designer, information architect, or similar role.
Have a college degree or similar experience
Must have a portfolio showing quality work across web and/or mobile.
Client facing/client management experience with a track record of satisfied clients and completed projects
Broad knowledge of project management.
Previous experience with Figma, Maze, usertesting.com, Adobe Creative Suite
Previous experience in Education Technology
Experience in designing for Enterprise scale products.
This position will close internally on 5/16/22.
