Job Summary
Manages and coordinates community programs (i.e., Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) and Summer University) established to address key areas of specialized needs with the University and community. Responsible for the day-to-day administrative and functional management of the program's activities and staff. Promotes programs internal and external to the university and evaluates effectiveness. Ensures programs comply with university and USG policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
1. Provides leadership and direction in the growth, development, and implementation of assigned programs, educational and social opportunities for adults aged fifty and older

2. Plans, grows, and manages a diverse portfolio of educational programs and programs that cater to the interests, talents, and experiences of older adult learners

3. Plans, grows, and manages a diverse portfolio of educational programs and programs that cater to the interests, talents, and creativity of summer camp participants in grades K1 -K12

4. Manages community program staff and assists with program logistics and hiring

5. Ensures the implementation of rules, policies, safety guidelines, programs, and traditions

6. Delegates tasks to team members and provide guidance and support to those executing the tasks

7. Develops and manages annual program budgets and perform periodic cost and productivity analysis

8. Oversees event planning, instructor recruitment, marketing, and logistics

9. Facilitates program components, post-program evaluation and operational reporting

10. Assesses the needs of program participants and staff, provide supervision and care

11. Cultivates new relationships and shares program information with businesses, community leaders, organizations, schools, and professional associations

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid and unrestricted Georgia driver's license

Required Experience
Three (3) years of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's degree in student personnel, higher education, or related field

Preferred Experience
Experience in curriculum planning, marketing and relationship building with diverse populations, particularly those involving seniors or those of retirement age

Proposed Salary
Pay Grade: Exempt 08

Demonstrated ability to think strategically and actively contribute to the creation and implementation of short and long-range department goals

SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
