Mississippi University for Women department of Psychology & Family Science invites applications for Full-time 9-month tenure track faculty to teach four courses (12 hours) per semester, advise students, conduct research and engage in professional development activities, and provide service to the campus and surrounding communities. beginning in August 2022.

Teaching responsibilities could include any of the 10 content areas for Certified Family Life Educator approved programs (e.g., families and public policy, intimate relationships; program planning and evaluation) and courses in quantitative research methods (e.g., research methods, applied statistics) at the undergraduate level. Our program has been approved to offer courses leading to the CFLE credential since 2004.Consistent with the W’s Strategic Goals.

The ideal candidate will have an earned doctorate in Family Science or related discipline by May 2022, have demonstrated success in working with diverse learners, and have experience with a variety of teaching methods and modalities.

Minimum Qualifications

Earned doctorate in Family Science or closely related discipline; if ABD, doctorate must be earned by May 2022. Dissertation defense date must be set by time of campus interview if finalist. Evidence of effective college/university teaching required.Experience with online teaching required.
