The Jefferson College of Health Professions at Thomas Jefferson University invites applications for the position of Endowed Professor of Nutritional Sciences in the M.S. in Nutrition and Dietetic Practice (MS/RDN) program, which is housed on the Center City Philadelphia campus.

In March 2019, Jefferson’s MS/RDN program was recognized by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) as an early adopter demonstration program. The program has been granted candidacy for accreditation status based on ACEND’s Future Education Model Accreditation Standards for Graduate Programs and welcomed its first cohort in fall of 2021. The program curriculum is grounded in competency-based education that integrates didactic and supervised learning experiences necessary to prepare students for entry-level practice as registered dietitian nutritionists. The Endowed Professor will engage in teaching and scholarly activities supporting the MS/RDN program.

The MS/RDN program will be an integral part of the Jefferson College of Health Professions (JCHP). The Endowed Professor will be responsible for various aspects of professional and academic leadership related to the MS/RDN program, including: conducting nutrition research; developing and implementing nutrition-related initiatives and projects; recruiting community support; teaching courses and advising students within the program; and participating in interprofessional innovations in education and scholarship within the Jefferson College of Health Professions.
