Fiscal & Operations Specialist, Provost and Dean of Faculties

Fiscal & Operations Specialist has primary responsibility for the Visiting
Scholars Program, the Visit Away Program, and for review and approving all
supplemental payments.S/he will also have responsibility for hiring, training
and managing Provost grad and undergrad students as well as ensuring that their
time is tracked appropriately. TheFiscal & Operations Specialist will be working directly with the
sponsoring faculty member on reviewing and approving all Visiting Scholars.
S/he will work with others in the Provost Office to digitize and
streamline current processes.
position has the primary responsibility for providing support and
approvals around part-time faculty. S/he will also provide backup
support to the Associate Director,
Faculty & Academic Affairs on hiring full-time faculty during busy
times.This position will have access to, and will regularly work with,
highly sensitive data and confidential faculty personnel records.
Fiscal & Operations Specialist will review and approve all financial
transactions in the PS Financials worklist. S/he will oversee
and approve and process all payments of invoices and reimbursements to
employees for work-related expenses in PeopleSoft Financials, as well as
follow-up on issues/questions that arise with documentation.
The Fiscal & Operations Specialistshouldbeable
to work with a high degree of independence, but know when to escalate
issues.S/he also needs to be highly organized and have experience
working with deadlines.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $44,100 to $55,150; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
