Location
Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary
In accordance with KSU's HR framework of a multi-tiered support model, serve as Tier 1, first point of contact for initial questions and walk-in services. The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of duties, which may include HR/MSS transactions, on/off boarding, workers' compensation, and other human resources related functions and special projects. Ensure compliance with University, State, and Federal policies and procedures; while maintaining a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates on- and off-boarding function of the assigned department(s) or unit(s)
  • Manages documentation processes, including but not limited to I-9 documentation, E-verify submission and policy and procedure acknowledgements
  • Oversees new employee orientation
  • Assists with exit meetings and documentation for all employees, including one-time deductions
  • Maintains employee records by recording new hires, transfers, terminations, and changes in job classifications
  • Ensures relevant HR knowledgebase is current and accurate
  • Coordinates, completes and files employee worker's compensation claims
  • Assists routinely with highly sensitive or confidential matters, while maintaining discretion as appropriate
  • Provides compliant-based responses to ongoing employee HR inquiries
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent

Required Experience
Two (2) years of human resources or related experience

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Preferred Experience
Higher education human resources experience

Working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations in human resources.

Strong customer service-oriented approach and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of department personnel
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
