We invite applications for the permanent, full-time role of Professor, Mathematics from accomplished university educators seeking to join a collegial department where teaching innovation and student success are highly valued. We seek applicants who share our passion for high-quality undergraduate education and can skillfully infuse their teaching with their scholarly work.
- Teach a range of undergraduate mathematics courses. The department offers programs leading to both BA and BSc degrees (minors and majors) and is seeking individuals to actively contribute to program growth.
- Applications are encouraged from qualified candidates from any field of mathematics who are seeking a long and successful career, primarily in teaching, however preference may be given to those with a focus in applied mathematics.
- Candidates must demonstrate commitment to teaching, learning and student success through scholarship and institutional service.
- Successful candidates will participate in a wide range of activities outside the classroom, including student support; institutional, faculty and departmental committee meetings and other initiatives; and professional activities in keeping with their disciplines in and outside the institution.
- Ph.D. in mathematics or statistics from an appropriately accredited institution.
- Demonstrated record of teaching excellence at the post-secondary level.
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and commitment to a team-based working culture.
- A commitment to, and understanding of, the importance of equity, diversity, and inclusion in the classroom and workplace.
