Facilities Management Business Services is now recruiting to fill a Material Handler II position for our warehouse. This position participates in work related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies. The Facilities Management Warehouse is the central repository for all supplies Facilities Management needs to clean and maintain our campus. Facilities Management employs just over 600 employees and services over 11 million square feet of campus-keeping the grounds beautiful, classrooms clean, and all utilities moving through the campus.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Serves as a point of contact for internal and external
personnel, independently with minimal supervision determines the best course of
action to resolve any questions or problems.
- Ensures accuracy of inventory with daily cycle counts,
researching and solving any discrepancies.
- Fills orders and issues materials and supplies per
requests; prepares documents to complete transactions.
- Coordinates the daily activities of the driver/couriers
and assigns tasks for completion.
- Recommends new or changes to procedures to improve
- Analyzes various orders to determine priorities,
coordinates routes for all drivers ensuring efficiency and work methods are
followed to meet schedules and deadlines.
- Oversees and participates in counting all incoming items,
identifying information and verify against bills of lading, invoices and
orders. Contacts vendors to resolve any discrepancies as they arise.
- Returns incorrect and damaged items to all local vendors
for credit and or exchange.
- Loads and unloads products from trucks using a forklift
and pallet jacks, identifying damage and discrepancies at the time of delivery
and taking appropriate action if needed.
- Utilizes master knowledge of various trade materials to
ensure accuracy of orders being picked up, verifying prices/costs paid for
materials is correct and resolves any issues before leaving the vendors.
- Ensures that products are properly packed, stored and
transported to avoid any accidents and damages.
- Applies knowledge and skills acquired to provide guidance, answering
questions, and assisting with training of new team members.
This position requires at least three years prior experience in inventory control and warehouse/material management.
