Associate Director for Enrollment Management Technology and Data

The Associate Director for Enrollment Management Technology and Data is responsible for the management and development of Technolutions’ Slate CRM enrollment management system across the school. Working closely with the Associate Dean for Enrollment Management, the Associate Director gathers and analyzes data from across the school in order to support informed decision making for the institution. In particular, the Associate Director prioritizes support for the College Division’s Office of Admissions. As a member of the Enrollment Management team, the Associate Director enthusiastically supports enrollment goals of talent, excellence, and diversity, and collaborates in achieving the team’s goal of continual improvement


• Supervises the Admissions Coordinator, Operations

Slate Database:
• Serves as the institution’s primary administrator (captain) of Slate, the enrollment management database; core activities include:
o Ongoing in-depth learning about the workings of Slate, so as to serve as the institution’s expert
o Maintaining and developing the Slate database and related processes, both within the Office of Admissions and across all institutional areas using Slate
? Preserving the integrity of Slate data
? Documenting processes in and related to Slate
o Functioning as the resource for institutional offices outside of Admissions in support of their use of Slate
o Building reports and queries
o Working with IT to integrate Slate with other systems (e.g., SIS, electronic score reporting, etc.)
o Assigning applications to Admissions staff for review
• Develops and leads Slate training sessions for other staff members in the Office of Admissions and across the School as needed and directed
• Uses knowledge of Slate to increase office efficiency and productivity
• Maximizes the use of Slate as a recruiting tool, including the use of digital content, applicant surveys, collection and analysis of data from recruitment events so as to inform future recruiting, etc.
• Develops communication plans for targeted populations, in consultation with the Associate Dean for Enrollment Management and the Office of Public Affairs 

• Maintains a strong working knowledge of the institution’s Student Information System (SIS), in particular for the purpose of reconciling data between the SIS and Slate
• Manages data imports and exports between Slate and the SIS
• Creates new reports and uses existing reports in both systems to verify the accuracy of data between systems, and in support of data collection and analysis
• Assists in the implementation of new ERP technologies

• Data Analysis
o Identifies, extracts, and organizes data from Slate, SIS, and other sources with the goal of creating actionable information 
o Assures quality of data in Slate and between Slate and other systems
o Provides recruitment and enrollment analysis, working with the Associate Dean to develop strategies for recruitment, scholarship awarding, and enrollment
o Provides data and analysis to other offices as needed
• Reporting
o Prepares an annual report that tracks the gender, geographic, and ethnic diversity of applicants, admits, and enrolls
o Creates ad-hoc reports and dashboards for the Associate Dean for Enrollment Management and the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Development
o Prepares reports and presentations for senior leadership and other departments, as needed
o Oversees the preparation of the Common Data Set and other annual reports; responds to data requests from outside entities such as the College Board, Princeton Review, etc.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Maintains and applies knowledge of all areas, policies, and processes of admissions
• Is committed to awareness of the profession (admissions issues, recruitment strategies, best practices in higher education administration, etc.), participating in professional development activities when possible
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree, plus a minimum of 5 years’ related experience 
• Three years’ experience with Slate (Technolutions) database
• Extensive knowledge and experience with computer applications, web-based tools, and social media
• Must be able to demonstrate excellent analytical and critical thinking skills and techniques and to provide excellent attention to detail and adherence to instructions and procedures
• Must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication (including active listening) skills
• Experience with data analysis and statistics
• Well-developed organizational and administrative skills
• Ability to manage a broad scope of responsibilities while maintaining attention to quality and detail
• Ability and eagerness to be a creative collaborator within the admissions team, bringing flexibility, sound judgement, and an open and collaborative style to team efforts and the successful accomplishment of office and organizational goals
• Ability to work with a wide range of constituencies (staff, students, faculty, administrators, prospective students and parents) with diplomacy and tact
• Understanding of and commitment to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EDIB) and the mission of The Juilliard School
• Domestic recruitment travel required, typically during the fall semester

Preferred Background:
• Master’s degree
• Three to five years’ experience in a higher education and/or performing arts administration environment
• Knowledge and experience in the art form of dance, drama, or music
