Description: The Operations Coordinator for Student Affairs (OCSA) supports the functions, programs, and initiatives of the Office of Student Affairs by managing social media and programmatic marketing efforts of the department, assisting with the execution of student services, and providing operational support. The OCSA reports to the Assistant Director of Student Affairs. This is a Monday-Friday position with infrequent weeknight or weekend work.

Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of Student Affairs office, including answers in-person, phone and email requests/queries, and marketing for programs
  • Coordinate, manage, and accurately track reservations for the Student Multipurpose Room, Morse Student Lounge, and lobby tabling, multimedia equipment, inventory of supplies, and other departmental resources
  • Produce weekly student e-blast
  • Manage student services and amenities, including off-campus housing and neighborhood resources, discount movie pass program, ticket distributions for free opportunities and performances, and developing student discounts
  • Supervise Student Affairs office work-study students, including hiring, training, scheduling, and approving timesheets
  • Assist the Assistant Director of Student Affairs with the execution of departmental programs, including the DELTA Leadership Program, commuter student services, educational and social programs, and student organization events
  • Design and distribute marketing materials for Student Affairs events, programs, and services
  • Manage and execute technical operations and media for the Student Affairs office, including departmental webpages, email account, and social media
  • Serve on the Student Engagement Team, a multi-departmental working group that coordinates the scheduling and executions of programs, events, and marketing
  • Develop or modify workflows to maximize efficiency of event sign ups, ticket distribution, information dissemination, and other processes
  • Assist with the operational and technical logistics and execution of New Student Orientation and Family Orientation
  • Provide administrative support to the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-2 years of work experience preferably in student affairs, student activities, residence life, or higher education environments
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, organizational, and project management skills
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple tasks
  • Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail in an active office environment
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge or ability to quickly learn and use a variety of digital platforms
  • Experience supervising student staff is a plus
  • The successful candidate must be able to work well with all levels of employees, be flexible in nature, and have sound judgment with an open and collaborative style that encourages teamwork and cooperation beyond the immediate team to the broader organization
  • Ability to work with a wide range of constituencies (staff, students, faculty, and administrators) with diplomacy and tact
  • Understanding of the values and mission of The Juilliard School
  • Interest in and appreciation of the performing arts is preferred
