Position Highlights

The Department of Pediatrics/Steele Children's Research Center, seeks a professional, motivated, and productive individual to join its administration team as the Human Resources Representative. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively within a complex environment with a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, discretion, initiative, independence, and organization. Providing excellent customer service and being multi-task oriented is a must.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Initiates and monitors transactions created in UAccess Employee.
  • Composes correspondence for offer letters, promotions, salary increases, non-renewal
    notices, etc., following HR policies.
  • Interacts
    with clinical department administrator and administrative staff supervisor related
    to clinical faculty & mid-level providers.
  • Assists
    Banner recruiter with hiring processes related to Banner faculty/mid-level
  • Monitors provider credentialing process by CVO and Medical Staff office.
  • Ensures
    employees comply with security information trainings.
  • Initiates
    and coordinates with UAHS-HR eligible employee FMLA & Paid Parental Leave documents.
  • Collaborates
    with other departments and/or colleges for faculty joint appointments.
  • Coordinates
    all J1 waiver, H1B visa, and permanent residency requests in collaboration with
    the Office of International Faculty and Scholars.
  • Creates
    & monitors job postings in TALENT. Coordinates recruitment strategies with
    search firms as applicable.
  • Coordinates
    faculty promotion packets and initial title requests.
  • Payroll
    Coordinator for departments 0709 and 0772.
  • Oversees Key Requests- CatCard access to building.
  • Maintains Pediatric Listserv and Peds Intranet site thru BOX.
  • Supervises department UA classified staff member(s).
  • Facilitates faculty and mid-level provider applicant interviews.
  • Monitors incoming faculty (Banner/UA) related to onboarding.
  • Participates in HR-related committees within COM and Banner.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

*Experience using UAccess. *Experience with UA Human Resources employment transactions. *Knowledge of processing Visas. *Previous work experience in a college or university setting.
