Job Description

To provide assistance to the Director of the Marketing Graduate Program; to serve as the Graduate Program Coordinator overseeing the application process, setting up Skype interviews, prospective student visits, admissions and acceptance process, enter student assistantship contracts, plan of studies, and other forms pertinent to graduate level degree studies. To process departmental reconciliations on a monthly basis, in a timely manner, to maintain departmental budget and operational flow. Serve as a liaison to the Graduate School on behalf of the director and the department. To be the first point of contact for all current and prospective students at the graduate level. To assist the Administrative Assistant to the Department Head with undergraduate and graduate level functions. To assist with website updates, as needed for faculty, staff, graduate students and the graduate program. To assist with additional tasks, as needed, to maintain an effective and efficient departmental workflow. Responsible for updating departmental level undergraduate and graduate catalogs. |Serve as the departmental fiscal support for monthly reconciliations. |Offer departmental support to staff, faculty, and students.

Required Qualifications

Previous experience working in a professional office environment; experience answering a multiline phone and performing data entry; familiar with basic office equipment and software such as, fax machine, copier, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent office experience in an academic setting; experience using Hokie Mart and Banner or similar database.
