Provide general assistance with day-to-day operations and special programs for administrative, office and programmatic functions of the Services for Students with Disabilities office. The Office Assistant will work with the Student Services Coordinator and office staff on a daily basis to: Provide support and assistance to the Testing Center for delivery of accommodations to students
Manage paper and electronic files and records
Create accommodations packets for students
Fulfill reception desk duties and cover absences at the front desk as needed.
Demonstrated experience providing programmatic support and office duties in a complex organization
Proficient utilization of various software applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email.
Demonstrated experience with data entry, handling and filing documents, scheduling appointments and answering phone calls.
Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
Experience multitasking with attention to detail.
Receptionist experience in a professional setting.
Experience handling confidential material.
Demonstrated customer service experience.
Ability to maintain academic test integrity.
Associate Degree in business, human services or related field and/or equivalent related experience.|
Knowledge of FERPA guidelines.
Previous experience in an academic testing environment.
Previous experience working in an administrative position in a higher education setting. Previous experience in creating alternate text formats for tests.
Experience working with students with disabilities in a postsecondary institution testing center.
Experience using and working knowledge of higher education secure database systems such as Banner and Medicat.
