Dominican College seeks a Student Success Advisor. This is a full-time, 12-month position and reports to the Director of New Student and Transition Center. The Student Success Advisor assists the Director in coordinating activities and carrying out specific strategies for freshmen and transfer students, particularly those who have not declared or been accepted into their chosen major. Assists faculty with advisement issues and serves as liaison between advisees and faculty as needed. Teaches Freshman Seminar. Recruits, trains, supervises and evaluates the Peer Mentor Program. Advises and coordinates Dominican College’s chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta. Assists in organizing the annual Freshman Convocation. Serves on committees that directly impact the mission and vision of the College and department. Maintains Social Media accounts for the New Student & Transition Center and Peer Mentor group.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required. 1-3 years experience in higher education specifically Admissions or Academic Advising. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organization skills; must adhere to confidentiality requirements; ability to interact with students with patience and sensitivity; excellent computer skills. Qualified candidate will be self-motivated, proactive and deadline oriented.
