Position Highlights

The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences invites applications and nominations for the position of Adjunct Lecturer in the academic unit of Agricultural Education, Technology & Innovation. This hire is critical to the Department's efforts to increase the online capacity to deliver the courses that compose the Leadership and Communication curriculum option of the Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Technology Management and Education and related campus majors. This hire will teach ALC 410 - Entrepreneurial Leadership in Agriculture and the Life Sciences during Spring 2022 semester and ALC 411 - Principles & Applications of Organizational Innovation during Fall 2022 semester.

Duties & Responsibilities

Plan,
deliver and evaluate instruction in ALC 410 - Entrepreneurial Leadership in
Agriculture and the Life Science during Spring semester 2022 and, ALC 411 - Principles
& Applications of Organizational Innovation in the Fall semester of 2022.

Knowledge, Skills or Abilities:

  • A deep practical and
    theoretical understanding of and experiences in developing curricula
    specific to entrepreneurial leadership and innovation in the Agriculture
    and Life Sciences Leadership and Communication curriculum option.
  • Demonstrated
    knowledge in the content area and educational pedagogy/andragogy,
    application of technical skills in online technologies and delivery
    strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • An earned master's degree in agricultural leadership, communication, sociology or an equivalent closely related area is required.
  • Three years of experience in an executive leadership position within a public/private organization with 10 employees or greater
  • Experience teaching at a community college and/or higher education institute.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Persons must have 3-5 years in practical administrative leadership experience and/or related education as well as substantive skills in online technologies and delivery strategies.
