Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary
Provides support, leadership development, educational opportunities, training, and brand of the Fraternity and Sorority experience at Kennesaw State University. Will seek to create a safer and stronger experience with a commitment to excellence. Must believe in the potential of the Fraternity and Sorority experience and strive to create a space for students to thrive. This position is responsible for initiating, planning, implementing, and assessing innovative and impactful programs and experiences within the Department of Fraternity and Sorority Life community, focusing directly on the community leadership development, educational programs, health and safety standards, and accreditation program for the Department and affiliated fraternities and sororities. Supervises assigned staff members. Collaborates with key stakeholders and advocates for appropriate resources for the programs to best serve the community.

Responsibilities
  1. Develops, assesses, and reviews the planning and facilitation of educational programs related new member education, member and leadership development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the Fraternity and Sorority Life community
  2. Develops and advises the Greek Programming Board, a student organization affiliated with the Department of Fraternity and Sorority Life
  3. Oversees the development of administrative practices that service the Greek community, including, but not limited to, developing communication protocol, collection process for roster management, and data collection
  4. Leads the creation of a chapter performance metric to develop, implement, and assess chapter-specific improvement plans and intervention
  5. Ensures that chapters receive regular training and review of their risk management and event management protocols and policies
  6. Serves as a liaison to the Department of Student Conduct and Academic Integrity regarding adjudication of fraternities and sororities related to organizational misconduct.
  7. Ensures records are received and kept in compliance with university policies, procedures, and all federal, local, and state laws.
  8. Maintains appropriate areas of the department webpage and social media presence
  9. Serves as a liaison to various university committees while working to ensure adequate programming and awareness initiatives are in place.
  10. Provides support for divisional priorities and initiatives beyond the scope of the department, as requested
  11. Maintains a deep appreciation for the educational and social value of a diverse community and has demonstrated commitment to inclusive and accessible programs, services, events, and experiences.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Required Experience
Three (3) years related work experience, will consider graduate assistantship experience

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Masters degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel, Counseling, or related field
Experience supervising positions within a college or university environment

Preferred Experience
Membership in a National Pan-Hellenic Council, National Panhellenic Conference, North American Interfraternity Council, National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations, National Asian Pacific American Panhellenic Association or related member organization

  • Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
  • Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
  • Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
  • Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
