Central Penn College is currently accepting applications for dynamic and engaging candidates to fill a High School & Community Outreach Coordinator position on our Admissions team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to share our story of life-changing, career-focused education and our strong record of job placement after graduation. You will represent Central Penn College throughout Pennsylvania at high schools, CTC centers, academies, college fairs, major employers, military bases, and community events to build relationships with students, teachers, parents, and guidance counselors. We are looking for someone to cover the Scranton and northeast PA territory who may work out of a home office with scheduled travel to Summerdale for training and meetings. Position may also be based at our Summerdale campus and travel to assigned territory. 

This position is part of a team of traveling coordinators working assigned territories to build interest and inquiries to attend Central Penn College. The position is within the college’s admissions department and reports to the Director of Recruitment. In this role, you are responsible for building high school engagement by conducting classroom presentations, guidance visits, and attending high school fairs and community events throughout a territory in Pennsylvania and surrounding states. You will also be called upon to meet with parents, alumni, business leaders, and other audiences as required to cultivate and build relationships beneficial to the college. High School & Community Outreach Coordinator also attend and present at various admissions department events on campus and off-campus throughout the year. This position requires local and regional travel (75% of the time) and may require occasional overnight stays. Remote work is available for specifically assigned territories.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as communications, business, marketing, or others.
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated skills of a self-starter that can execute their role with limited supervision.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • A willingness to work a flexible schedule which could include early morning/evening/weekend hours and travel on a seasonal basis.
  • Strong recruitment, sales, and customer service skills.
  • An engaging personality and a strong ability to develop relationships quickly.
  • A strong work ethic and a goal-oriented, self-motivated approach toward achieving consistent results.
  • Leadership, organization, time management, and planning capabilities.
  • Must possess and maintain a current, valid Driver's License.
