Position Highlights

The ideal candidate will be a member of a team within the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program. They will assist students & faculty with clinical placement activities for nursing students in the College of Nursing DNP program.

The dynamic individual will:
* Demonstrate knowledge in complex scheduling required for student clinical placements.
* Be skilled at maintaining and retrieving relevant data in a variety of data systems.
* Effectively communicate with students, faculty, staff, preceptors, and community partners.
* Be service, team, and quality improvement oriented.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage
    the student experience related to clinical placement, specifically:

Facilitate
matching of student to preceptor/site based on specialty & geographic
location.

Ensure
correct on-boarding and credentialing of students prior to starting a rotation.

Assists
in maintaining clinical placement data systems, including data retrieval and
reporting.

Researches
and recommends appropriate solutions for clinical placement problems and
concerns.

  • Facilitate communication and promote a positive working relationship between the Doctor of Nursing Practice program, University units, College of Nursing departments and external community partners and preceptors.
  • Act
    as a staff resource to assigned faculty curricular committees or task forces.
  • Work
    with faculty to incorporate preceptor recruitment, acknowledgment, and
    appreciation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Minimum
    of 3 years of relevant work experience.

* Bachelor's degree - Field of study: Healthcare or Business
