Position Highlights

Department of Medical Imaging is seeking a full-time position of Business Manager Senior who will be responsible for all financial management in the Department of Medical Imaging, a medium-sized academic department with over 14 million in funding, including budget and cash accounts. Prepares and presents the All Funds Budget, financial reports, and statistical and forecasting information to the Department Chair, manages budgets and prepares overviews and approves all accounting transactions including SET, DVs, etc.; serves as the fiscal officer of 40 accounts: HR duties include hiring, updating and changing postdocs, grad students, student workers, research professors, and scientist positions and title packets for clinical faculty; supervises one administrative associate and one student worker.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Financial Accounting-fiscal officer for 40 accounts, pcard liaison for 10 cards, manages and reconciles all Department accounts monthly, manages budgets and prepares reviews and approves department Foundation payments, purchase orders, DIs, DVs, SETs, transfer of funds, internal billings, position distributions, pcard transactions Foundation Accounts, and manages expenses for professional development funds for all faculty. Develops and establishes procedures for the department daily operations according to policies and procedures established by the university and outside government agencies.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepares, reconciles and presents all financial reports and other information to the Chair of the Department. Prepares and presents analyses of financial information that includes the use of graphs and charts, prepares and presents statistical information and performs forecasting analysis for leadership. Pulls ad hoc reports and prepares reports for special projects. Use of UAccess Analytics, Financials, Budget, Employee Manager Self Service, Planning, Research and Students. Use of Microsoft excel, Microsoft word and other applications.
  • HR Duties: Hiring, updating and changing post docs, grad students student workers , professors and scientists positions. Approve time used by research faculty and staff. Prepare, tack and submit title packages for faculty.
  • Supervise one administrative associate and one student worker who prepares financial and HR documents including pcards, disbursement vouchers, salary expense transfers, transfers of funds, position funding distributions, internal billing and requisitions for purchase orders.
  • Grant Administration: Grant financial management for 10 PIs and 22 sponsored accounts, manages efforts and cost shares, prepares sub-award documentation, reviews and signs all final closeout reports from Sponsored Projects, prepares backstopping forms, reconcile account for compliance. Prepares grant financial status report, approves grant proposals (backup).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is required.

*UAccess Analytics experience. *UAccess system experience. *Grant funding experience.
