Job Description

The Records and Registration Associate provides customer service to students and administrative support to the office in database management, registration, enrollment verification, transcripts, and other related processes. Duties may vary according to the overall needs of the office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, responding to student needs and queries in person, via email, or over the phone, processing enrollment verifications and international letters, maintaining archived transcripts, and sorting and distributing mail; providing administrative support to the Registration and Records office; and performing other duties as assigned.

Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.

Required Education

Associate degree or equivalent education or certification.

Required Experience

Three years of experience in higher education or a related field.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Applicants must have excellent communication skills, experience working with a diverse student population; experience using a Student Information System (Banner preferred), and the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks in a busy work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Banner experience, technical writing skills.

General Weekly Work Schedule

Work schedule is up to 25 hours; flexibility is available, but hours will include some evenings until 7 p.m. Final work schedule will be determined by the supervisor.
