Job Summary
The HR Manager for Professional Development develops a learning curriculum that supports the strategic priorities of the University by building workforce skills to grow the organization. Ensures the smooth and effective functioning of training events and special projects.

Responsibilities
  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
  • Assess instructional effectiveness and summarize evaluation reports determining the impact of training on employee skills
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with subject matter experts regarding instructional design
  • Assist with departmental communication efforts including, but not limited to, managing website content and design, employee newsletter, and incidental email communication
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
  • Outline training material and determine effective instructional methods to be used i.e., individual training, group instruction, demonstrations, meetings, and workshops
  • Identify, track, and monitor required compliance training
  • Manage logistics for training events and special projects
  • Maintain database of training records
  • Assist with the administration of annual performance evaluation process for employees
  • Manage the learning and development function to address skills or knowledge gaps identified through needs assessment
  • Map out training plans, design and develop training programs (outsourced or in-house)
  • Serve as administrator for employee Learning Management System
  • Design and create courses for deployment in University's Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Choose appropriate training methods per case (simulations, mentoring, on the job training, professional development classes, online courses, etc.)
  • Develop and support recurring programs and activities such as New Employee Orientation and the ePerformance process
  • Market available training opportunities to employees and provide necessary information
  • Design and prepare educational aids and materials
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelors degree
Required Experience
  • Three (3) or more years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing courses for deployment in Learning Management Systems
  • Previous experience in planning, implementing and assessing workplace learning plans for employees
Proposed Salary
$44,400 - $56,600
