Position Summary

The School of Business and Social Sciences seeks a new Crime and Legal Studies colleague. Candidates who have strengths/teaching experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply: Criminology, Criminal Law, and/or Sociology. Generalists in the area of criminal justice reform are also encouraged to apply.

Evidence of excellence in teaching at the college level and a philosophy of education consonant with Colby-Sawyer’s programs and mission are required. All full-time faculty are expected to contribute to the college’s liberal education program.

This is a full-time, tenure eligible position. A doctoral degree in criminology or criminal justice, or an earned doctorate in a related social science discipline is preferred. All but dissertation (ABD) candidates will be considered. 

This position includes teaching, advising, college service responsibilities, and ongoing scholarship, and is available beginning August 2022.
