Job Description

Health Care Assistant

The Health Care Assistant will assist the Director of University Health Services and Primary Care Sports Medicine with day-to-day operations in regard to email, data analytics and data reporting oversight. The position will assist in maintaining COVID-19 cases and trend tracking information in a clear and consistent manner.

In addition, the position will assist with:

  • monitoring vaccination (including booster) uploads for the University population.
  • monitoring emails to covidtesting@bc.edu, covidvaccination@bc.edu , and other accounts as needed.
  • data entry and reporting into MAVEN (the state public health database), including positive cases and all unvaccinated close-contacts.
  • May involve an occasional evening to respond to exceptional needs of the department.

Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $38,700 to $48,400; salary commensurate with relevant experience.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) with a focus on pre-med, Public Health, or related fields preferred.
  • Experience in public health
  • Experience in healthcare emergency management or partnering with emergency management organizations
  • Experience in working with national databases and disease reporting, public health surveillance, and public health research
  • Experience in public health communications and partnerships
  • Experience in communicable disease reporting and research
  • Project/program management experience
  • Strong communication, verbal, written and organizational skills
  • Must be able to maintain confidential information and have experience working with confidential data
