The Recruitment Specialist will have a direct impact on the talent acquisition process within the
Advancement Division by working with the full life cycle of talent acquisition.This position will report to the Strategic Talent Acquisition Manager and will also provide support to the Advancement HR team by assisting with special projects and tasks as requested.
The Recruitment Specialist will support the Strategic Talent Acquisition Manager to provide service to the Division, including collaborating with hiring managers and logistic coordinators to fully understand business needs, hiring cycles, and sourcing strategies to help ensure a seamless candidate experience and create an effective search process.
This role will serve as a liaison to logistics coordinators and hiring managers to provide guidance on best practices during the full life cycle of talent acquisition including recruitment, screening, interviewing, and reference checking. In addition the Recruitment Specialist will partner with Advancement Business Services to provide guidance on candidate travel, meals, and other expenses associated with the interview process.
Previous experience in a human resource environment or administrative office within an
academic or professional office setting
Demonstrated experience handling sensitive and confidential information
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite such as Outlook, Excel, Word
Ability to organize, plan, prioritize work, meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
simultaneously while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and seamlessly independently with little supervision
and as part of a team
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in a professional and
courteous manner, and interact respectfully and comfortably with all individuals in a diverse,
Experience with electronic applicant tracking systems such as PageUp or similar systems
Experience with human resource information system (HRIS) such as Banner
Demonstrated recruiting experience leveraging recruiting tools, such as LinkedIn, to attract
