Position Highlights

The Health Education and Promotion Professional I will be responsible for a number of different tasks that develop, deliver, and administer educational and community programs for external audiences through a Mobile Health Unit. The Mobile Health Unit promotes and fosters lifelong learning and outreach activities for individuals, families, organizations, and communities. The Heath Education and Promotion Professional I's job duties will include promoting health, physical activity, and nutrition important factors for addressing growing incidence of chronic diseases.

Experience in planning and organizing community-based events such as workshops and health screening and vaccination events is preferred. Member of the targeted (communities of color, hard to reach) community and fluency in Spanish, preferred, but not required.

This is an Extended Temporary Employment (ETE) position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate community partnerships and identify outreach/screening sites.
  • Plan and organize community events such as workshops and health screening and vaccine events.
  • Link clients to services and community resources.
  • Care coordination referrals and reporting.
  • Drive and maintain the mobile health unit.

Minimum Qualifications

  • One (1) year of relevant work experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Public Health.
* Bilingual English/Spanish.
