Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and performs ex vivo brain slice electrophysiology, surgical procedures, tissue sectioning and IHC.
  • Formulates and conducts research methods in experimental design and coordinates laboratory timelines.
  • Evaluates and contributes to the organization and conduction research on behavioral observations, analyze data and interpret test results as well as the maintenance of the mouse/rat colony.
  • Provides guidance and training for other researchers, staff and students in lab techniques and procedures.
  • Participates or authors articles in peer-reviewed journals, books or chapter publications and presents at conferences as well as the acquisition of research funding by collaborating on proposal.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience with rat and mouse models.
