Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information
With an enrollment of over 1200 students, the Kennesaw State University School of Art and Design offers a BFA degree in Art (concentrations in Art Education, Art History, Ceramics, Graphic Communications, Illustration, Painting and Drawing, Photography, Printmaking, Sequential Art, and Sculpture), a BFA in Digital Animation, a BAT in Apparel Textiles Technology, and an MA in Art and Design with concentrations in Art Education, Digital Animation, and Museum Studies.

Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a one semester, Limited Term Assistant Professor of Animation faculty position in the School of Art and Design, beginning January 2022.

Responsibilities
  • Teach four classes in the Spring 2022 semester in the BFA in Digital Animation and support students in both Illustration and Sequential Art..
  • Use digital illustration techniques to provide a broad range of working experiences to our students.
Required Qualifications
  • Master of Fine Arts, or its foreign equivalent, in Animation or Illustration
  • Three years related work experience
  • Thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Suites, Final Cut Pro, Harmony software including Toon-Boom and Storyboard Pro.
Preferred Qualifications
Master of Fine Arts in Animation or Illustration. Experience in Autodesk Maya, with skills in 3D modeling, technical direction, effects animation, lighting and rendering. Secondary skillsets in Sequential Art or Illustration highly desirable.
