Instructor of Art - Graphic and Digital Design
Drury University is currently accepting applications for an Instructor of Graphic and Digital Design. The successful candidate will teach courses to undergraduate majors in graphic and digital design. The teaching load will include other undergraduate courses in areas of expertise such as User Experience, Interaction Design, Motion Graphics, and/or general education. Candidates must possess an MFA in Graphic Design. The successful candidate will have a background in graphic design with additional experience in web design, user experience, and/or interactive design preferred; proficiency and experience with typography, illustration, and web/interactive design with knowledge of applicable software and Adobe Suite; experience teaching at the university level or the equivalent combining applicable academic and professional experience; and excellent written and verbal communication skills
The graphic design program has experienced considerable growth through innovative curricular revision and development of interdisciplinary collaborations on campus and at large. A new Graphic & Digital Design curriculum engages contemporary technologies and pedagogies while having graphic design courses that are actively involved in three general education certificates for Your Drury Fusion: Professional & Visual Communication, Graphic Storytelling, and Interactive Design.
