Job Description:

BASIC FUNCTION:

The Department of Psychology at Salve Regina University invites applications for tenure-track assistant professor in Organizational Behavior Management / Industrial-Organizational or in Biological/Health/Sports Psychology to begin in Fall 2022. The successful candidate will primarily teach undergraduate courses in the BA in Psychology program. If a candidate has expertise in Organizational Behavior Management they may also have secondary responsibilities for teaching graduate ABA courses as needed. Candidates are required to be able to teach Introduction to Psychology, Statistics and Research Methods (a year- long research embedded course) and special topics in their areas of expertise. A teaching load commensurate with the other duties of the position is set at 7 courses per year.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include teaching, maintaining productive research and scholarship, advising undergraduate students; and participating in service at the university, local, and national levels.

Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree in Organizational Behavior Management or Industrial / Organizational Psychology or Doctoral Degree in Biological Psychology / health Psychology or a related field before the start date
  • Ability to teach to a diverse group of students
  • Evidence of potential for scholarly productivity
