Assistant Professor of Nursing

McKendree University seeks two full-time, tenure-track faculty positions in the Division of Nursing starting in Fall 2022. McKendree University offers a RN to BSN program, a MSN program with nurse educator, nurse manager/administrator, and population health tracks, Masters in Health Administration, and a DNP program in ethical leadership. Successful candidates will participate primarily in the RN to BSN program, but may also teach in the MSN and DNP programs.
The position requires a doctoral degree in nursing or a related field (if doctoral degree is in a related field, master’s degree must be in nursing), at least five years of clinical practice, and a current, unencumbered Illinois RN license.
Nursing candidates will be responsible for teaching online. In addition, classes are taught at various sites in the metro-east and Southern Illinois region. Preference will be given to candidates who have two years’ experience in nursing education and experience teaching in an online format.
