Provides diverse multi-media and information technology systems support for training at KSU. Designs, develops, updates and maintains information in an electronic format, including website information. Works to incorporate KSU's visual identity and branding images to maintain a unified and consistent look across publications and other media outputs. Ensures website information is Section 508-compliant. Content may include text, graphics, video, audio and animation. Designs, develops, edits and provides diverse multi-media and information technology systems support for training at KSU.
- Assembles different text, audio, video, graphics, and animation for online courses and special projects
- Ensures conformance with SCORM, compliance with Section 508, and other regulations and standards for all electronic components
- Designs, develops, updates, and maintains information in an electronic format, including website information. Content may include text, graphics, video, audio, and animation
- Designs, develops, edits, and produces videos and training courses in electronic media format, ensuring all training courseware functions accurately and conforms to established standards and styles
- Implements and assists faculty and instructional designers with all stages of video production, camera operation, audio and lighting, shooting for edit, editing and post-production activities for video-based and computer-based programs
- Supports online learners and programs
- Leads administrative functions to support multimedia design work
High school diploma or equivalent
Two (2) years of experience with multimedia, graphic design, expertise in Adobe Systems software (i.e., Creative Suite Master Collection software); web design experience, including familiarity with accessibility issues and web

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Multimedia or Graphic design, Communications, Art, Animation, Instructional Design/Technology or related field
Previous experience working at a research center or for an institution of higher education
Experience as an instructional designer or working with instructional designers
Previous experience working with faculty using learning management systems (LMS) such as Canvas or Blackboard as well as other educational technologies
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Must have the ability to coordinate and oversee multiple projects simultaneously while working as a member or leader of a project team
Comfortable interacting at all levels of the organization and be willing to develop strong and positive relationships with staff and colleagues
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
Experience creating original layouts and designs for a variety of platforms to include traditional print media, web and multimedia
Thorough working knowledge of instructional design models, adult learning theory, educational psychology, learning assessment, copyright & compliance and distance education
Working knowledge of tools for authoring interactive multimedia products delivered via a variety of synchronous and asynchronous techniques
Experience with a learning management system (e.g. D2L Brightspace)
Experience using project management software
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Communicate effectively orally and in writing and analyze the needs of the target audience
Self-directed and deadline driven
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
