Position Highlights

The University of Arizona invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Coach, Women's Tennis. The position reports to the Head Coach of the Women's Tennis Program and acts within the rules and regulations of the University, the Pac-12 conference, and NCAA.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assisting
    the head coach in recruiting high-level student-athletes
  • Being
    able to run effective team and individual practice
  • Conducting
    video sessions and analyzing practice/match play
  • Demonstrating
    competency in player development
  • Supervising
    and directing student-managers
  • Assist with
    scheduling of practices and games
  • Assist
    with Academic Monitoring
  • Supervising
    team and individual practice
  • Adhering
    toNCAAand Pac-12 conference rules
  • Participating
    in community events and outreach
  • Performing
    other duties as assigned (i.e. overseeing equipment inventory, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's
    Degree
  • Competitive
    playing and/or coaching experience at the collegiate or professional level
  • Understanding
    of junior/collegiate tennis (both national and international)
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • Commitment to academic and athletic success
  • Working knowledge of NCAA regulations

student-athlete, athletics team or department.
