Job Description

Repairs and maintains refrigeration and air conditioning units used to support the operation of Dining Services. This will include but not be limited to commercial heating and cooling systems including hydronic and steam heat, chilled water systems, heat pumps, ventilation systems, fuel gas boilers and water heaters, maintenance and repair of various forms of pumps and equipment. Responsible for the maintenance and repair of related infrastructure of university property including service repairs of lighting and other electrical devices, repair of doors, furniture, flooring and other carpentry skills, repair of plumbing and related fixtures as needed. Serves as departmental lead regarding the utilization of the Siemens energy management system. Assist Manager with planning/implementing preventive maintenance programs. Maintains and repairs dining kitchen equipment and performs electrical and plumbing tasks as needed. Monitors and utilizes the ""Siemens control system to identify system problems and to take corrective action as they occur.

Required Qualifications

Demonstrated experience and knowledge of refrigeration and HVAC at the Master HVAC Mechanic level with skills in electronics, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical trades. Comprehensive experience in maintenance and repair of HVAC and refrigeration equipment. Ability to use hand and power tools. Familiarity with terminologies of all trades. Ability to read, interpret and follow written procedures, blueprints, technical drawings and sketches, and specifications. Ability to use a computer, keep accurate and complete records and experience in a work order/inventory management system. Essential Personnel position requiring employees to report to work during emergency situations, closings and occasional weekend rotating shift. ||Education, Licensure, Certification required for entry into position: Master HVAC license / certifications required.

Preferred Qualifications

Some experience in the plumbing and electrical trade preferred.

Salary range $40,000 - $53,000 commensurate with experience.
