Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information
As the largest collegiate dance program in the state of Georgia, the KSU Department of Dance enrolls over 130 dance majors, employs 16 full/part-time faculty, and is housed in state-of-the-art dance facilities, including metropolitan Atlanta's only Dance Theater. Concentrations in ballet and modern are offered through the B.A. in Dance that was started in 2009. The KSU Dance Company has received top honors at the American College Dance Association and has been invited to perform at the Kennedy Center in'five'national years.

Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time faculty positions in Dance. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
The Department of Dance is accepting applications for part-time faculty to teach undergraduate courses in the lower division, including, but not limited to, Dance and Society, and/or dance technique in the candidate's area of expertise.

Part-time faculty are hired from the school's pool of applicants on a semester-by-semester basis. Applicants may be asked to teach in various modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online).

Required Qualifications
M.F.A., earned doctorate, or the foreign equivalent, in Dance or related field is required or undergraduate degree and a minimum of two years professional experience in the field.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years collegiate and/or professional teaching experience, along with an established record of professional experience in the field.
  • Evidence of teaching and working with a culturally and an ethnically diverse community.
