Position Summary

Provides analytical support and data reporting for clinical divisions to enhance revenue and compliance.

Job Responsibilities
  • Creates and distributes standard and ad-hoc reports based on functional needs, including daily, monthly and quarterly reports related to charges, payments, write offs, WRVUs, referrals and visit volume.
  • Assists with the preparation of monthly revenue and WRVU forecast.
  • Assists with contracting, new rates and new plans.
  • Prepares and distributes daily cash reports to monitor daily charges, payments, and other billing indicators.
  • Ensures reports are being delivered on a timely basis and escalates any delays or issues.
  • Analyzes billing trends for providers and departmental divisions as requested.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and make recommendations.
  • Identifies undervalue contracted rates by analyzing reimbursement pattern.
  • Executes analysis on increase trends for denials and provides findings to management.
  • Performs audit reporting on charges posted manually by the coding team.
  • Performs other related duties as directed.
  • High School Diploma

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Approximately 2 years of related experience.

Experience with electronic health record systems, preferably EPIC.

Certified Professional Coder (CPC) is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to create meaningful presentations and reports utilizing a variety of raw data.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and database applications, especially MS Excel.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated listening skills and ability to document meeting notes when needed.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred.
