A special opportunity as the first Discipline Director of OMM to help lead and establish the Montana College of Osteopathic Medicine, a branch campus of Rocky Vista University located in Billings, MT

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight, direction and guidance for the faculty members involved in OMM courses.
  • Assist the Chair of Clinical Sciences in providing leadership to OMM faculty with feedback, assessments, performance evaluations, and performance improvement actions.
  • Assist the Chair of Clinical Sciences in preparing financial and budgetary plans and help oversee expenditures related to OMM.
  • Assist the Chair of Clinical Sciences in recruiting and hiring full-time, part-time, or adjunct faculty members to effectively administer all OMM courses and events.
  • Work collaboratively with other administrators and faculty to incorporate osteopathic philosophy and practice in other MCOM courses.
  • Participate in curriculum development, assessment, and modification as part of RVU's continuous quality improvement and assessment processes, particularly focusing on osteopathic content.
  • Provide professional and clinical services as needed and as assigned by the Chair of Clinical Sciences.
  • Represent RVU with positivity and integrity in collaborative initiatives with internal and external stakeholders to help accomplish the mission of the University.
  • Serve as an active participant on various committees or task forces or other duties as assigned by the Dean.
Qualifications
  1. Assist administration, faculty and staff in special projects as required.
  2. Act as liaison between MCOM, the professional community, other educational institutions and organizations as indicated or directed by the Chair of Clinical Sciences or Dean of MCOM.
  3. Participate in relevant and appropriate community and professional outreach activities on behalf of the college and the university.
